Well, Hello There

Every developer blog starts with a "Hello World" post. It's basically a law of the internet -- right up there with "never read the comments" and "the real bug was the friends we made along the way."

So here we are. Welcome to Gapchix -- my little corner of the internet where I write about code, break things in production (on purpose, I swear), and occasionally share something useful.

Who Am I?

I'm a developer who's passionate about building things that actually work -- and sometimes things that spectacularly don't. I work across the full stack, from pixel-pushing on the frontend to wrangling containers and databases on the backend. If it involves code, there's a good chance I've either built it, broken it, or both.

My current obsessions include:

Next.js -- because who doesn't love a framework that does everything?
AI-powered development -- yes, an AI helped write this post. We live in the future now.
Docker -- containerize all the things!
Game development -- check out Gamedar, my AI-powered game discovery tool

The Tech Behind This Blog

Because what's a dev blog without a meta-post about the blog itself?

This site is built with Next.js and Chakra UI, powered by a Strapi CMS backend. The whole thing runs in Docker containers because I like my deployments like I like my code -- isolated and reproducible.

Fun fact: this very post was created via the Strapi API using Claude Code (an AI coding assistant) running in my terminal. The robots are already here, and they're writing blog posts. But don't worry -- I still review everything before hitting publish. Mostly.
